The sun is shinning!!

When the sun is out so is all of Portland. Oregonians will find what ever they can dealing with the out doors. A few examples, the parks, people sprawled out on their blankets with a packed lunch and a bottle of wine. You will also find a slew of people at the farmers market picking up fresh produce, bike riders and people walking all over the place. Well, we have joined them, the kids love playing out side. Recently we had a Backyardigans water toy (pictured below), the kids really did enjoy that. One morning we woke up and found some creature shredded it to pieces so we had to find other alternatives for getting in the water. Chris O. had a brilliant idea to by a super soaker and some water balloons, the kids again had a blast, but Chris got out of hand and brought the super soaker in side, naughty naughty. One of my now favorite spots to bring the kids for some outside fun is to Jamison Park downtown. Right next door to this park is a cool very kid friendly coffee shop called Sip and Kranz. They have great food and drinks, they also have a plexy glass room blocked off for kids to play in equipped with a large flat screen, a chalk board, and a bunch of toys. Wifi is also available for those working moms or dads. Enjoy the pictures of our out door adventures.

Isn’t she sooo cute? I love this little girl. When I have a tough day all I need to do is sit back and take a gander at my children and all is forgotten. God is so good, he blesses abundantly. I always new I wanted to be a mother, sometimes this world makes it challenging, but thank God for Jesus, my strength and salvation. Bless you all friends and family

Congratulations Gahlya! Class of 2007. June 26, 2007

Ok so the couple of pictures I took while driving to Eastern Oregon do not even come close getting the full scope of the beauty this side of Oregon has. We drove 4 hours to get to La Grande, which follows the Columbia river through the Gorge, kite and wind surfers everywhere. I literally held my camera out of the sunroof, Chris driving 70+mph holding onto it for it’s poor battery operated life. By the way, Briana later dropped the camera down the bleechers, we were sitting at the top, we thought the silver member was lost forever, but a kind Gentlemen returned our precious to us. To give you an idea on how small this place is, at the resturaunt we ate lunch, like three different people ask if we found our camera. There was probably 3,000+ people at the graduation ceremony. Gahlya graduated from Eastern State University with her BA in Psycology and a minor in the Spanish language (I think). We had such a great time, it’s nice getting to know the Auel family, but also a little bitter sweet, I really start to miss my family when I am around Chris’s family.  Sorry for the misspelling of Scenery.

Adults only… June 22, 2007

The night starts with an array of meat, cheese, and wine. The kids are snug in their beds, the adults gather together to feast on the abundance of food and drink. This is a weekly tradition for the Auel/Ortecho families, full of surprises, laughs, and good conversation.
