Going the mile probably by bus… February 28, 2008

So I took the placement test again and this time I am settling with the fact that I can’t add. I will have to take two math classes but that’s ok, a refresher will be good for me. So hopefully I will be attending classes this month which is considered the Spring term.

Today as I was coming home on the bus we passed by a park and sitting in the grass was a barefooted business man relaxing in the sun and just enjoying the niceness. It reminded me of the scene from Pretty Women when Edward and Vivian were copping a squat in Central Park. I felt a surge of romance flow through me! I feel like we have been getting little glimpses of the coming Spring and then Summer.

I also am getting the pleasure of observing new love bloom for a very special friend of mine and she is just so happy and poetic by the whole experience, it’s great!

And, I have two very good friends having babies back home! Yippee!

Oh NO you didn’t! February 20, 2008

Tonight on America’s Next Top Model, one of the contestants is still lactating and the judges asked her if she was fedexing her milk back home, she replied “no, actually I am drinking it” (apparently she wants to be able to continue feeding her baby when she gets home). After the contestant left the stage Tyra says “That made me thirsty” and then the three judges each pulled out a glass of milk and started drinking. AAAAAAAHHHH ahahahah!

Ok maybe this is only funny to me but I laughed my booty off!

I need to change. February 19, 2008

I am a bad friend.

Examples:

I talk about friends to other friends.

I say something or agree to something that I don’t necessarily like or agree with to make that friend happy.

I stick my nose into my friends situations when I shouldn’t.

I half listen if talking to a friend on the phone and watching TV.

I make promises and then break them.

I tell my friends I will pray for them and most of the time I forget to.

How did I turn out this way. I was reading Hebrews this evening and felt a very big conviction about how I treat those who are closest to me. I can not be trusted with God’s children if I continue down this road.

Friends, I apologize for my lack of propriety and ask that you forgive me and be patient with me as I allow the work of the Lord to change me.

Jane Austen… February 14, 2008

Why has Jane Austen become so popular lately that people are reading her books out of curiosity and not because their college lit class is requiring it? Could it be that we, as in men and women, need romance again. We need someone to grasp us in their arms and hold us tightly.

That’s all.

Oh and I once had a friend named Jeff Astin, he was the best man in our wedding. Coincidence?

A storms a brewing… February 9, 2008

My old friend Steve, who used to tutor me in math, would be very disappointed in me today because I only scored a 29 on my math placement test; sorry Steve. I completely spaced and was rushed by time and was forced to randomly select, what looked like, the right answers (good excuse huh?). Shoot, looks can be deceiving for sure! Well, “what am I taking a placement test for, College? Thats right c-o-l-l-e-g-e! I am going to do it this time, I really am. This is all the detail I will give now because I have a shit load of stuff to work out to makes this possible but by God’s grace I will succeed. Now I have to go study to RE-take the test and this time pass to avoid those 3rd grade level prep cources.

Wish me luck!

Oh, for writing I scored the highest possible score. So that just whirls my mind.
